Unlocking#

The Bloodmoon unlocks over several editions of the event (two to three months), with the quest chain of Rubina and Jon Sunlair.

Before the event: bring 3,500 Silver Essences to Rubina, then take her 300 werewolves quest.
During the event: defend Rubina (come as a group: the quest fails if she dies), bring back 10 metal reinforcements from the gnomes of the Mine, kill the 300 werewolves, then Vargulf.
After the event, by day: Jon Sunlair appears in Varholm and asks you to talk to three villagers. Without this, the next step waits one more month.

Jon Sunlair's "Shining Silver Essence" quest gives 1,000 Shining Silver Essences in exchange for:

Defeat Vargulf: the Bloodmoon portal opens.
Equip the Shining Silver Essences and enter.
Defeat the three leaders, Simurr the Shredder, Floshamm the Frazzler and Fezirw the Freezer, without lingering on the rest.
The Bloodmage appears: defeat him.

BossBloodmage

Where: Bloodmoon over Varholm, after the three leaders.
Fight: every 40 s, a bloody mark targets a player. The marked player moves away from the Bloodmage: the mark explodes after 2.5 s and heals him if he is within 4.5 m.
Loot: Werewolf Blood, Werewolf Teeth, "Runes of Regained Health" pieces.
